Nikkia is a passionate educator with over ten years of experience as a dance instructor and choreographer. She was born and raised in Auburn, NY where she developed her passion for dance and the performing arts. Nikkia began her choreography journey at Syracuse University, where she was involved in several student dance organizations, ultimately serving as artistic director of Orange Pulse Dance Troupe and president of Tap Club.

Nikkia has choreographed dozens of community theater productions locally, including the United States debut of the musical Sketch. In 2024, her choreography of Nunsense was recognized by the Theater Association of New York State for excellence in choreography.

She began teaching dance in 2015 and has established herself as a skilled choreographer and instructor locally, choreographing for recitals, concert dance, and competition pieces alike. She remains active in the dance and education community, striving to make her classes a place where all students can learn, thrive, and succeed. Nikkia is also a Ph.D. Candidate in inclusive education.

Nikkia teaches tap, musical theater, contemporary, and creative movement classes. She also choreographs for Ascend’s competition and ensemble teams.
